This year should be bigger and better than ever before. We have plenty of entertainment including morris dancers, circus skills, a return of the ever popular inter-pub tug of war, stocks, stalls, bouncy castle, dancers and loads of children's games.
There are plenty of refreshments on offer. There is a barbeque, ice cream, fish and chips. The local pubs will, of course, be open as will the local shops, all helping to make the day special.
The highlight of the day will be the Mystery Play performed on the Church green at 2:00pm. This year's play starts where last year's finished with the story of the life of King David. The story then goes on to the rise in power and wealth of King Solomon, culminating in the visit from the Queen of Sheba. |
